My parents used to have a cyber café when I was a kid, they had AoE tournaments and all, sometimes went on for days. I was like 6 and would watch them play and learn from them, was the first person to finish the AoE3 campaign when it came out, to this day my mother shudders at the mention of the "fountain of youth" lol. I remember highschool kids would come in and I'd ask to play against them, you can imagine they saw a little kid just starting elementary school and thought "easy win". What they didn't know was that I spent all day every day playing AoE and learning from people who played tournaments, while they only got to play a couple hours after school. Ah, to be young and invincible again.

That's BS with the credit cards, sure that happens, but it's also using that games publishers' price their games differently, depending on the market. A game in Russia costs significantly less than in Germany fe. And they will buy copies and keys from those cheaper places and then re-sell them with a higher price, that's still cheaper. There are also official game-key-sellers that have deals with publishers AND those that provide data to show their keys are legally acquired.
