Scar survived the hole of doom. The universe realised its mistake and so sicced some angry armoured children on him. Thus, balance was restored
Honestly, having a tripwire up in the planet that closes like, acacia trapdoors over the hole for like 5 seconds so you don't fall out of it again would be really smart. You could also set up the same system to splash the Hermits with both a jump boost and slow falling potion to simulate low gravity!
