Xbox mode is not a fix, it's a bandaid. The system needs to be always efficient, not just when gaming

bringing memory usage from 4.8 to 4.4GB is kind of pathetic when SteamOS is sitting under 2GB
Ironically, it works 10x better if you use a PS5 controller, since you can use the trackpad as a mousepad if it ever gets confused and gives you a pop up you can’t escape

I don't really want to add a layer of jank over already slightly janky Windows. Just make Windows perform well.

Regarding consolidation of all your game libraries, nobody ever talks about GOG Galaxy. It's been doing that for years.
Somehow this manages to look like a worse experience than just using normal Windows. Especially since it has no performance improvement and still has the usual Microsoft pop ups.
I dont want Xbox mode. I just want my normal system to work good.

Most pc gamers don’t want Xbox on pc. We want a lean mean os that runs the necessary functions for our games in the most efficient way possible. Xbox mode doesn’t even feel like a bandaid, more like painting the wound a different color.
8:40 As an Xbox player, that's not even how it behaves on actual Xbox, so if they're advertising this as an Xbox-like experience then that is just factually incorrect.
