Kinda weird that there's a need to put trigger warnings for dead animals but not cooking videos While on the topic of cooking. Can you eat it?

What do you do with the lambs? I’m sure taxidermists would love to honor this little buddy

The lack of brown fat is the reason that poultry need heat lamps to stay warm, and the same actually goes for piglets. Piglets are born with very minimal brown fat which is meant to keep them warm. Humans have selectively bred and actually genetically altered pigs to have that brown fat at birth to lower the risk of piglets getting cold and dying.

Pulled up at a roadside layover/rest area, we went for a walk to stretch our legs. Under a tree, on a farm, in a ditch, lay a cow, its rear end and legs largely buried by (its own?) manure. It was alive and clearly in distress, but we could do nothing, and we weren't prepared to enter the property uninvited to notify the farmer. The cow saw us, and looked at us in a way that made me very sad, and I had a glimpse into the world of farmers, who must deal with sick and dead livestock, as a daily reality.

Putting the warning on screen at the same time as the thing you're warning about makes it kind of useless

Is the yellow regular after birth or does that indicate stress at all?

Appreciate the video. I don't have any sheep, but I'm in my first year of having chickens and this is a good thought process to be exposed to.

Stupid drought has brought this on. A hard lambing season after a hard year. Hoping for steady weather ahead.
