Kind of weird to hear Evan tell Laylah she was better than and prettier than any of her peers on the stage. I get as a parent he is most proud of laylah and wants her to know it, but to say she’s better than and prettier than will make laylah think she is above her peers and could very easily instill a mean girl attitude. A better way to phrase Evan’s proudness of laylah would’ve been to say he was proud of how hard laylah tried and how good of a performance she did and she looked beautiful on stage; no need to compare her to any of the other children.
