The real blokes who carried out the original SAS/LRDG raids in North Africa on a completely unsuspecting enemy were every bit as mad and courageous as this series depicts. If you read the first hand accounts from these men, and some from the unsuspecting enemy, the missions they carried out, and the ruthless and effective manner in which they carried them out, are almost unbelievable..... but they're all true. The men who fill the ranks of the British SF's today are every bit as phenomenal as the men who pioneered this method of warfare back then in the deserts of North Africa.🇬🇧✌️

Jock Lewis designed a bomb(grenade) which could burn through aluminum, then cause a fire. This was after the British Army Irdnance engineers told them it could not be done. The original SAS were truly geniuses at war... Stitling put together a hell of a crew.
