OOPS I HIT ONE BUTTON AND MUTED A MINUTE OF AUDIO. HERE IT IS: I took a refresher on all of the world records from 6 months ago, I just want to see what big changes happened in the 6 months. And I can't believe there's a right trick left trick there. I wonder if we'll see it on the next lap. Because one of the things about these is that strategies in Mario Kart World can get REALLY difficult. I'm already noticing some small subtle changes. But the main big one is the right trick left trick- oh we're not going for the green rail? OH THIS THING. How did I forget about that? I saw when that was discovered but I didn't realize it was in a world record. Wow, ok so right trick- no! Oh so lap 1 and lap 2 are different because of coins. On lap 1 you want to stay on the rail longer for coins, but on lap 2 you can trick earlier so it completely changes the strategy coming afterwards. And we're getting so many edge tricks, this is already so much to talk about! This game is insane. And that's not even how I do that one online, it's a bit inconsistent you can reland on that rail.

27:24 that's exactly why, i didn't plan on doing more niscs that run but i didn't get a fast enough L4 while playing safe so i had to go for it again to save it lol 5/5 wallride nisc hasn't been implemented yet because it's insanely difficult for how little time it saves (you're not even guaranteed to save time doing it on the shroom laps unless you get good enough nisc + shroom). it'll be done regardless, the track is just brutal to grind at the state it's at now

Hi Shortcat! At 48:38 you asked why this left trick sends you forward, and the answer to that is that this is not a normal left trick! This strat is called the Yuki Roll and is done by holding ZR before you land on the rail, you must then hold down the button the entire time on the rail and within a 1 frame window (the last frame you're on the rail) release the button.
