Don’t forget that this was his aunt’s house. This is revenge because his parents took the house from him, likely because he was a junkie. However, and Jessie even mentions it, he was the one who took care of his aunt and took her to all her appointments and had to watch her stark decline (she had brain cancer). He put in all the work, and his parents stole the house from him and took all the stuff as well. They deserved it. Edit: as pointed out, she actually had lung cancer that spread to the brain.

The best part? Look at their lawyer's face when Saul mentions the meth lab. He knows Saul completely has them over a barrel. Jesse's parents might be in trouble, but the lawyer? He knew of a crime and helped his clients cover it up. He could be DISBARRED for that, and Saul knows it.

I love this scene, but only because Saul clearly crosses the line into extortion. But the ONLY part where he crosses the line is mentioning criminal law. If he would have only referenced civil law, this would have been 100% legal. And it would have worked the same way because telling someone that you will sue them in civil court means the owner cannot sell the house while it's wrapped up in civil litigation, and the material facts (of the meth lab) would be exposed, and the criminal justice system would have gone after them on its own. You're just not allowed to tell someone that you will report them criminally if they don't meet your demands because that's helping cover up a crime. That's it. The rest of it is perfectly legal. Fascinating, huh? I think it's fascinating but I'm the lawyer type. People hate me.

Jesse was given the property in his Aunt Ginger’s will but at the time he was a minor so by state law he couldn’t own it. So his parents were the custodians of it but never transferred it over to him. So his parents shouldn’t have made ANYTHING off an almost million dollar house…… but in all seriousness if he had gotten the house at 18, god only knows what would have happened.
