Now add 16777216 million inventory spaces for each wool color
new youtube hardcore minecraft idea: "I Collected Every Wool Color In Minecraft"
minecraft collect all blocks challenge never gonna be the same again
16 million colors of wool. Call it a dye-versity update
Searching for a wool color that doesn't exist...
They already have the dye combination system with leather armor that they could just port over to things like wool or shulker boxes.
Funny, just a week ago i started working on a mod that allows for dye mixing to create custom wool, concrete, and terracotta colors. Mine doesnt use text displays, it uses custom color data and tintindex in the model json. blocks with different colors do not stack and visually show colored in the inventory instead of white like shown here.
Technically if minecraft were to add this there would probably only be 5,713,438 since that is the amount of colors that leather armor can have.
Now add 16777216 million types of sheep for every wool color
In the intro the color is lilac obviously 0:15
The loom could finally have another use...
mojang would add this and still never think about an inventory update
1:51 well that's a weird thing to come to.
This wool update would be much cooler if mojang did something with colors. Like using cauldrons and dye to change the RGB values, and using glowing inc sacs or glowstone to make it florescent, and finally throwing in an amount of wool into the couldron to dye it... or possibly even get the cartographer involved somehow.
I feel like if Mojang wanted to implement 16 billion new wool colors, they'd just do what they do with Leather Equipment. Just a single block with some component or whatever that defines the color.
Mojang should give us 4,294,967,296 (256^4) wool variants with the introduction of wool glass.
6:16 you know maybe not add all those colours to Minecraft, but make colours datadriven.
7:40 I'm almost sure someone has made or will make bad apple with this
Maybe try stacking the colors multiplicatively instead of additively? What I mean is, since you’re painting plain white wool, bright colors are going to max out at 255 and lose detail. Meaning if you add anything to 255 (white) it’s still going to be 255. If you instead use multiplication, the change in color is proportional to the rgb channels of the white wool texture, meaning darker crevices stay darker while lighter crevices lean toward the new color
Perfect opportunity to make that cauldron with water also could be tinted on Java. In that way, you could get custom wool colors when you use white wool on it.
