You will notice how the Portuguese were testing Maduka from long range as they perceive the tactic to be his weakness. Thank goodness our boy shored up. The Portguguese had to switch up their tactics for the goal though. Make sure many players are in the box then shoot from outside, which worked twice. All in all, I am happy with Nigeria's performance definitely a lot better than the game with Poland. We keep moving, Nigeria no dey ever carry last!!

Our team's pressing caused Portugal a lot of problems today and exposing their defense. I felt a bit of better decision making could have led to more goals for us. Our midfield gave a good account today. It could have been a different result but we're proud regardless the loss was honourable

I commend the coach, that 5man substitution in the second half really made a difference, I loved the expression he showed when he saw some of our players misbehaving which led to the substitution I commend our team (away team) for at least being able to have a say in this match My honest review. Ronaldo was just aura farming on the pitch and should have been subbed earlier Great job by the 4 backs, especially Calvin bassey And finally, a standing ovation for the 2nd goal by Portugal, that was really fantastic 👏👏

With this beautiful display from 9ja boys then question is how & why did we miss the world Cup. We missed the tournament in 2nd row because of sentimental issues and corruption.
Great match. I believe Osimhen and Lookman would have made the difference. But they did well today against a strong Portuguese side. A shame that Eagles will not be at the Worldcup this year.
Why didn't get into the 18 first before anything. We had chances that looked very good. We also need to learn how to be confident on the ball and mobile. Little details still affecting our game.

Why do we have to loss matches. To be the best and guy respected we must learn to start winning or atleast drawing matches like this. I see a lot of people saying the Eagles performed commendable… really? This match could have easily been 4-0 against us . Watch Morocco, Senegal and cote D’voire lately you will see the difference in the play. We keep supporting our boys non the less but we certainly can do better .
And also if it was oshimen that got that ball they gave to chukwueze he would have gone for pace and power
