One of the most hilarious language lessons l had, years ago in ltaly, was when my classmates and l started teaching each other the names for the noises the animals from our various countries made. Italian dogs go _bau bau_ and roosters say _Chicchirichí_ and the duck says _qua qua._ l wish l could remember the noises in Arabic and Greek because they were hilarious too. Somehow we had all just assumed the noises would have the same names.
