My missus's electric scooter has solid tyres and its a fucking nightmare to ride over anything that isnt smooth concrete

If you ever rode a scooter with solid tires instead of pneumatic ones and hit a small rock on the road, you know it hits you like a truck.

Get rid of the rubber completely, and just use air...

What about just making the tires more puncture-resistant by integrating a hardened metal mesh, specifically designed to prevent punctures and slashes, into the tire structure close to the air chamber?

Try honeycomb tires. I love solid or semi-solid tires on electric scooters. Don't have to worry about getting a flat. However, the scooter vibrates so much that you feel like your riding on a gas power weed eater when riding on bad roads.

Dude used not one, but two clips from a YouTuber named Superkot. First was for the tire puncture with 10 nails, and the second was for the buzz saws as wheels.

Michelin tried this in the early 00s with their PAX Run-Flat system, they guaranteed a new tire to any shop in the western world within 24hrs, unfortunately the machine required to install them was very expensive & the confidence in this new system wasnโt great so it was short lived. Some Honda Odysseys & Toyota Siennas adopted this system alongside BMW/Rolls Royce in some 7 Series & all Phantom models for a short time period as well. The worst part is the wheels are specifically made for the run flat tires so you cannot switch to just regular tires & you cannot get new PAX Run-Flat tires anymore - you must buy a different set of wheels entirely.
