What's the idea of advertising this car as a plugin hybrid while it works much like a series hybrid (EREV)?

Govt should put this in same 5% GST category as EVs.That will drastically reduce the price of Plug-in Hybrids.

Its a pHeV from europe. Its only good with city drive. Gives you range for almost 100 km then shifts to ICE. But once battery is dead, then its weight becomes a problem and affects mileage. People here dont recommend this to buy unless you dont care about this( there are people who dont care). Good for city, office drive but for long distance its not good. Better alternative is hybrid that is not plug in. Gives you good mileage of 20-30 km per litre.

If the petrol engine is going to be working only as a generator then why have a 1.5 L engine? Just use the smallest capacity engine for a car like a 1L engine and save on taxes, that would be even more fuel economical.

E20?? Better aim E85 or atleast E25 and above.. Or maybe pure electric is the way to go.. and a small car.. And no tension of ad-hoc ethanol blending regulations by the govt. and pricing..

An EV that comes with the liabilities of an IC engine, over the burden of being scap valued after 3 years when its battery die. I might bet on leasing it from BYD. Might consider owning if suzuki or toyota sells it, because they dont literally wave good bye when you leave the showroom, they followup with the services and spare parts. I hate the ideology of companies building cars that are built to go to scrapyard after 7 years and especially when they purposefully do that.
