The quietly best upgrades steal the show: 30% faster app launches stretching back to the iPhone 11, a polished Liquid Glass with an adjustable tint slider, and a completely rebuilt Spotlight search index powering Photos and Mail. The real question isn't whether Apple's model beats ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — Siri literally runs on Gemini — it's whether Apple's deep context layer and on-device indexing can make Siri competent, from password-rotating Safari agents and natural-language Shortcuts to Photos Clean Up, Extend, and Spatial Reframing. There's also a genuinely thoughtful parental controls and Screen Time overhaul built with the American Academy of Pediatrics, plus the usual catches: the heaviest features demand an iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone Air, or M-series iPad and Mac with 12GB of RAM, skip the EU and China at launch, and live behind iCloud+ and daily caps. Visual Intelligence, AirPods custom EQ, Image Playground's photorealistic slop, the still-broken HomePod, and the verdict — another Apple black eye or the biggest practical-AI leap for the average Joe — round out whether "boring, private, and integrated" is actually enough to win. 0:00 Haven't we been here before? 0:35 Bucket one: the boring stuff is secretly best 3:46 Bucket two: parental controls that don't suck 6:15 BUY THIS OR I WILL STARVE 6:43 Bucket three: Apple Intelligence (it's Gemini) 10:40 When Siri stops finding and starts doing 13:05 Generative slop vs. the genuinely useful 17:39 Black eye or breakthrough? One of your Friends in the EU here. If it weren't for us you guys would still charge your iPhone with lightning 😂
Having a Snow Leopard update for iOS is totally welcome. Yes you were right... This was a much needed update.
I was so excited when they announced Siri being able to pull info out of texts, emails, photos etc. Now cautiously optimistic
More stuff I’ll never use…
Adding '"dubdubdaddy" to the list of things I never thought I'd type.
Possibly the only content creator who made a WWDC recap and dared to use the words "...it IS Gemini" in his video!😁
Ahahahah. Siri will continue to suck
Great video! Well thought out
Where are the Apple Recording Sunglasses??? You can walk, talk and record where you’re going, with 250GB of space! This category is exploding!! Meta sold 7 million in 2025!! Come on Apple, this new tech category is gonna be huge!!! But I personally think the OHO Glasses has more recording options than Meta. My order is showing up tomorrow in the mail and I already can’t imagine living without them. I just ordered them 48 hours ago too! Come on Apple!! Let’s GO!!! The model I got: OhO Sunshine Primex EIS Camera Glasses-Ultra HD with Image Stabilizer & Photochromic Lenses. $229.
I can't be the only one that hates Liquid Glass...😅
I have a inclination that the spotlight and indexing improvement partly came about when they tested Apple Intelligence and realized how their foundational model couldn’t find the necessary personal context because spotlight is so broken
People who paid originally for iWork getting access to their paid ai tier would be such a flex
6:44 Meanwhile, the phone still can't recognize when I want to type an F bomb rather than the word "duck". ::sigh:: IT'S NEVER DUCK, APPLE!!!
I want an entire update to be only stability speed improvements. My biggest problem is the constant having to close and reopen apps like audible to just continue my book. I’d say maybe it’s the app but it happens ALL OVER THE PLACE.
The improvemts to liquid glass fell like they already have existed since the beginnimg internally, but the previous design head didn't want it
I’d love to see some standalone Apple hardware that could perform all these ai tasks on it while being user friendly to set and configure
I love that during the keynote they basically said "spotlight doesn't always work lol but we fixed it"
16:55 “to my european friends get rekt” dude this is so funny! Especially for me being in europe lmfaooo 😂😂
I hate how companies just can’t say: Look we effed up!
Thank god they fixed that goofy finder design
