i love this type of princesses she never said she was againts romance or finding someone(unlike disneys modern princesses) she just said she would rather find her someone on her OWN not be choosen in a damm competition and force a marrige it both shows little girls/guys that you can be independent in your own way

If you notice, Merida's cheek has a small crack before she shoots the last arrow; what a nice touch from the animators‼️😲💀
