We had 3 horses at one time and we only have one left and she was born here and we delivered her and she was dried off with towels by us and we helped her stand and find her milk supply, our little foal is an old girl now and she has never been abused or hit ever. She only knows love and kindness, when we first had somebody ride her she didn’t buck or fight the saddle or the rider she was like okay that’s cool. But nobody rides her now she is just a beloved pet. She is just like a big puppy dog.

The horse protecting that one woman during the earthquake literally brought me to tears. I once had a horse that I used to exercise for a friend of mine that lost her life protecting me from a cougar attack. The cougar hit me, knocking me off her back & she immediately whipped around, kicked it clear of me (somehow NOT hitting me in the process) and then when it kept coming for me, despite her attacks, she finally did the exact same thing. She laid on me, protecting me with her own body. Thankfully for me, a nearby neighbour heard both Cameo & I screaming, and came rushing over in his 1/2 ton truck. I was hospitalized for a couple of weeks…but that beautiful sweet heroine was too badly hurt to save and had to be humanely euthanized. Her owner buried her in the field she saved me in & we had a gravestone made. I was only 15 at the time, and am now almost 60 and that’s all due to that amazing mare. 😢❤️🩹

I cried seeing the horse protect the girl in the barn. Such unconditional love ❤🐎❤🐎❤🐎❤The horse in the back of the ute loving riding like a big dog. Beautiful animals & thier humans❤❤❤❤❤
