The famous SPOONKID x BLOOPRINT "Water Only" challenge is BACK! Our first attempt at this challenge was over 5 years ago, and THIS is our third go at it. A lot has changed in Rust's ocean since then, so we were in for quite a different series of events. I hope you enjoy the return of this legendary duo :) Water Only V1 - https://youtu.be/FOuMuLrIg1U?si=98M-iG-_XUFTSADR Water Only V2 - https://youtu.be/rBsjnucePnk?si=gU-e2Ko1nxrYVYql spoonkid - @spoonkid2169 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Channels: Blooprint's Bunker - https://www.youtube.com/@BlooprintsBunker Blooprint's Vault - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClMuosUutVxH7hTGVyUzppA?sub_confirmation=1 Twitch - https://www.twitch.tv/blooprint Kick - https://kick.com/blooprint TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@blooprintgames My Socials: Twitter - https://twitter.com/blooprintgames Discord - https://discord.gg/blooprint Merch - https://www.blooprintgaming.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PC Specs: Processor - Ryzen 7 9800x3D Graphics Card - ASUS TUF RTX 4080 Memory - G.SKILL Trident Z5 64GB DDR5 6000 Motherboard - ASUS TUF B650-PLUS WIFI CPU Cooler - Noctua NH-D15 Power Supply - 1000 GT 80 Plus Gold 1000W Fully Modular SSD - 4TB Crucial P3 Plus M.2 Hard Drive - 4TB HDD Case - Lian Li Lancool 216RX Black Steel PCPartPicker - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FHT7PJ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equipment: Headphones - SENNHEISER HD 660 S Mouse - Pulsar X3 Crazylight Keyboard - KBD75v3 Custom Keyboard w/ JWK Poseidon lubed switches, Brass Plate & Doubleshot Keycaps Mic - Rode Procaster Monitor (main) - Samsung Odyssey G7 240Hz (2560x1440) Monitor (secondary) - Samsung Odyssey G5 144Hz (2560x1440) [x2] Capture Card - Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2 Stream Deck - Elgato Mini Sound Mixer - TC Helicon GoXLR ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Channel Art/Design: Edited by - Iced (https://www.youtube.com/@Icedddddd) Thumbnail - Veysel Kara (https://twitter.com/veys_el_kara) Mascot Design and Twitch Graphics - Rotting Jackal (https://www.rottingjackal.com/) Banner & Illustrated Thumbnails - Veysel Kara (https://twitter.com/veys_el_kara) OG Logo Design - Curzurer (https://curzurer.carbonmade.com/) Intro, Outro & Motion Design - Bryan G. 41:00 Bloo casually touched the ground and played it off.
Because of the updates the water challenge just doesn't feel like it used to. I'll ALWAYS watch Bloo content, but Bloo is right. Rust is starting to become overdeveloped. Something needs to give.
15:40 The funny thing is that you proved this is all correct by getting more loaded in 3 hours on a "water only challenge", than you would on most normal wipedays 2-3 years ago.
crazy refresh pull
Honestly, that rant about rust hit hard. I remember watching rust youtubers, making episodes on rust (Wilsonator), and it was so intresting to watch, seeing the slow progression, the scavange for your survival, where you should consider using your last fragments to make some bullets or keep it for a better gun. Rust always was really intresting, the adrenaline rush when you got a item you needed (metal hatchet, and i remember running home, scared out of my mind, to just research it). The old sluggish progression of rust, was probably the most intresting part. Doing monuments, hoping to get a gun and whatnot. Hearing an AK in the distance, finding the first ak in a elite crate on top of launch site. Thats what gave rust its identity. The tech tree honestly ruined the fun of it. Whats the point of trying to make it back home with a gun to research it, than to try to snowball it, because you know it costs around 15minutes to get on the tech tree. Rust needs 1 thing, and that is to slow down its progression. Maybe make things tad bit more expensive, maybe make the tech tree be the last resort to getting the blueprints of things you need (perhaps, the the items material cost and tad bit more stuff (like, sar, cost something like 850frags, 2-3 semi bodies, a few springs, some hqm, some other stuff), so you would be more inclined to explore and try to find it. Rather than making it a huge rat race, to get red, go to oil, then bow pvp, then run around with tommys. Its weird hearing high tear guns so early in wipe's, if you plan on playing the next day after wipe, its most often just a T3 battlefield, with people getting raided and whatever. Rust needs to slow down its pace, for it to be more enjoyable, to find something you need, so you have to face the big dilema of would you rather, spend a lot of materials to perhaps get something to fight with, or to go and hope to get somethign, and perhaps in return, maybe make everything more expensive, but make it more common to find, something something. Bla bla, insane take, love it Bloo (first solo life's give that painful scavanging for survival vibe the best, and the triumph at the end). P.S. Some optimisation would be really cool. 2019 rust ran on my laptop (1080ti, 8gb ram, i5 cpu), without many problems, now it runs even worse on a tad bit better pc, with the graphics looking like terraria and unturned mixed in. Slowing progression would probably, help with performance, because it would be more efficient, to build more compact bases, that are perhaps stronger and less meta, just for the sake of it being harder to do a lot of things. It would help a lot of people, that dont have a good enough pc to run rust well. Maybe a experimental branch would be intresting to see, so people can like suggest something. Base rust is arcadish, while the true is the hardcore version. Just feels lame, when such a good game is losing its identity.. P.S. #2, the change in videos. Always the movies, of "THE FALL OF A xxx CLAN". "HOW A SOLO xxx", etc. I remember stevie posting desception, during the early quarantine, and after that i saw only rust movies. Miss the old episoded, slow pace rust. Not only that, but it often shows, that rust is a slow game, and its supposed to be slow. How 9/10 you will spend your time running from A to B, then back to A, without no hiccups. How you will just sit in base and chat with your friend about something, waiting for 34 metal frags to finish cooking for something. And thats the rusts peak. Its always intresting to see when people have such moments in their bases, rather than just straight PvP, clutches and chokes. The rust movies are starting to get stale, same formula, almost the same editing style. Returning to rust always reminds you that it will take a while to achieve. And probably thats why there is many QoL updates for such cases, i mean, if you are spoonfed the constant dopamine inducing action, the adrenaline rush of killing a fully kitted person with bazillion rockets, you will find yourself pretty let down, to see it being so slow. I miss those weird interactions that ocured when 2 kiddos had something they needed and they wanted to get it back, so ceasefires were formed right there and there. The pace of the game has increased so much, that its weird, when something is not happening. And often seeing it on rust videos is so intresting, i often come back to wilsonators old rust videos purely because of that slow pace, where 9/10 there isnt guns blazing or anything. Just running in a forest, trying to not get mauled by a bear, with a sar, that has 3 bullets.
Please keep speaking out on updates Bloo, we want to hear your thoughts and I really hope you can help to bring about a change in the direction the game seems to be headed

just wanted to remind you that however you choose to spend the rest of your time with youtube, your content has impacted so many of us in the best ways imaginable. even if you get discouraged, you will always have us at your back because we know you have always had ours. thanks for the memories bloo, and to many more
There is a stark difference between old rust content i used to watch and rust content now. When I startes watching you in 2022-2023, it felt like you wouldn't get anything "good" toll day 3 or late day 2. I remember watching you and frost getting super excited to get pistol ammo and a potential custom or revo, and the M9s or P2s were the god send of scrubs till you got a python or tommy. Even then, Tommies and SARs were what I knew you for, and watching you just pop off with a SAR and Tommy for a fight. Getting your hands on anything above a bolty felt cool and late game, and watching your old snowballs towards the end of a server wipe and just grabbing everything in one day was cool. Now it just feels like you guys get smth like 2 MP5s or an AK out of random ass crate its usually a reaction like "oh shit two mp5s" or nothing with hype behind it. I still enjoy watching rust content, but the whole 0 to ready to raid the next day is getting kind of old.
1:03:15 "Hello there" 😂
55:41 SPOONKID NEVER TOUCHED THE GROUND
thank you for speaking about the state of the game. i couldnt agree more with your stance
15:08 is when the second monitor content turns into first monitor content. 🔥 I feel like Facepunch is the type of company that would notice when a Rant like this gets posted. Lets hope the game changes for the better.
I cannot agree more 18:10 I like the blueprints and the idea behind it but I also like having to find items and research them, although having both blueprints and finding items would probably destroy solos...in all it is hard to balance such a complex game like rust
I really like the idea that some games can become overdeveloped. It's the kind of concise wording that I will be using in the future.
