1:41 Seeing someone play Elden Ring for the first time is absolutely endearing You’re not really supposed to know what’s going on, or figure everything out. The game is supposed to break your brain. Plenty of people (myself included) complete their first playthrough without even knowing about one or more core game mechanics. If you happen to be reading this Kenneth, the game is actually a hell of a lot bigger than you think. There’s dozens of dungeons + bosses and lots of surface content on the ‘easier end’ for you to practice on - you just have to explore and find them.

Kenny, given Elden Ring is your first game of this type I think going fully blind would be overwhelming. I'd recommend watching VaatiVidya's beginner guide, as it would really help you get started and is mostly spoiler-free. When I first played Elden Ring it was my first soulslike, and it helped me greatly. Also, since you're forced to play on keyboard and mouse you should change the keybinds, as the default binds are kinda shit. You can look online for a good set of keybinds, but here are mine: Movement: Dodge/Dash: shift Jump: space Crouch: c Switch armament: Sorcery/incantation: MB5 (the front side mouse button) Switch item: MB4 (rear side mouse button) Switch right hand armament: Tab Switch left hand armament: 2 Attack: Attack: left click Strong attack: Q Guard: right click Skill: F Use item: R Event action: E I see that you often look down at your keyboard to press certain keys. A lot of these keybinds are right next to WASD, so hopefully you should develop the muscle memory to press them without looking down. Don't give up, Kenneth Haight! The title of Elden Lord will be yours.
