Es ist wirklich erfreulich zu sehen, dass sich Alexander Zverev diesen Titel endlich gesichert hat. Die Kritik und der Umgang mit ihm in den vergangenen Jahren waren in Deutschland oft nur schwer nachzuvollziehen. Wer jetzt noch argumentiert, der Sieg sei weniger wert, weil die absolute Weltspitze nicht komplett vertreten war, setzt der anhaltenden Skepsis wohl endgültig die Krone auf. Am Ende zählt die Leistung auf dem Platz und auch die enorme Konstanz so lange in der Weltspitze competitive zu sein. Dieser Erfolg ist mehr als verdient. BRAVO!
