I think this is based on the story of the king and the seeds. there once was a king who was old and wise and was ready to give his throne but he didn’t have any children to give it to. So he called all the kids of the kingdom and gave them each a seed. They had one month to grow that seed and whoever came back with to most biggest and best plant would take over the kingdom. One mounts passed and everyone came back with giant plants and beautiful flowers all except one. A little girl had a pot with no flowers and when the king saw this he made her king. When people asked why he said because the seeds where fake.

Moral :- check whether the seed is boiled or not 😂 LoL 😅

The actual story of this is based off of a story including a child named “Ling”. It’s called “The Empty Pot”. [Thanks CindyChan for telling me by the way!] The story is about a emperor giving seeds in pots to children, saying the person with the biggest plant will be the emporer’s successor. Ling took the seed and the pot, and took care of it every day. Ling gave the seed sunlight, and water. But weirdly, the plant did NOT grow. Meanwhile, other kids had huge crops in their pots. On the day where they had to show their plants, kids were holding pots with huge plants, while Ping only had a pig with nothing but soil. But despite that, Ling brang his pot anyways. Children lined up infront of the emporer to show them their plants, but for some reason, they failed. Then when it was Ling’s turn, the emporer looked at him and said “You are my new successor.” directly to him. It turned out that the emporer boiled the seeds, so they couldn’t grow. The reason the other children failed was because they lied about growing it. They used different seeds instead of the actual seed they got in order to trick the emporer. Ling was the ONLY one who told the truth, and then become the emporer’s successor. The morality of this story is to live in integrity, for your shortcuts to get away with anything will not be left unnoticed, and that integrity is better than results.

For me this was the story of the boy and the seed (in Islam) There was a boy called Ling and one day the emperor called every kid in town and said “I am getting old so I will give a seed to everyone and whoever comes with the biggest seed will be the next emperor” and Ling then excitedly got home and planted the seed.5 weeks after no progress had come he waited and waited and waited but not even a tiny sprout came out,1 year after he still didn’t have a plant he asked his mother if he didn’t need to go back to the palace but his mother insisted for him to go and when he entered the palace everyone had a plant but him he was very sad another kid said “Nice try” and laughed when the emperor announced who was the next emperor he told his guards to called up Ling and Ling was terrified but when he got up he had became the new emperor the emperor said “Ling is the only one who was honest I had boiled the seeds before I gave them and it seems that everyone has a plant but that isn’t possible” so lesson is be honest
