This week I headed down to visit Neil Devlin, the man who played a massive part in helping me with the Bridie project (my Scania 93M). Neil got in touch and offered his help when I was working on Bridie, and I’ll always be grateful for that support. He’s worked on Scanias all his life, restores them from the ground up, and honestly knows these trucks inside out. His attention to detail and workmanship is something else. We had great craic looking around the workshop, checking out some incredible trucks, and of course taking a look at a Scania that’s currently up for sale for a cool €130,000 👀 Bridie wasn’t just a truck project either , it helped raise money for Little Blue Heroes, so having people like Neil behind it meant a lot. I love the big old square-shaped Mk 3 Scania. They're amazing. And that truck for €130.000 is good money really. It's basically a new truck.

Molloy & Sherry got 2 of the first 142s in Ireland back then , my Dad worked for them , I was only kid ,I remember going to Cork in it , they were great men , Johnny Boyle fixed the Fridges the doors would be in bits 😂 38 to 42 tone of swinging beef , they'd shunter the lorry forward in the loading bays to get more carcesses in Scania was truly the king of the road back then the V8s were a game changer
I would never pay that for a Scania I'd buy a new KENWORTH far better euro 💩

Sammy The 92 M would have been classed as a big van or light rigid back in the day I told you that i started with a Super 80 early eighties owned by a friend of mine Jesus Sammy you will have get that 143 song i have sent it to you Worked for a company here in Oz Hampton Transport Kalgoorlie Company started with Scania back in the early eighties they had over 30 of them at one painted in the Swedish colours Blue stripe of yellow Used to have the Dukes transport company down Tombos n my area with very flash 143 Making us boys jealous with our owl Hinos n Dafs and an odd Merk Keep up the good work Sammy and regards to Bertie n Bridie n de gang

You’re one lucky lady to meet all these nice people who help you in your journey into trucking world and tractor world. What a top guy he was and it sounds like amazing place he’s got. Gutted I can’t see it. Definitely worth putting some nice exhaust on your lorry one day to make it sound beautiful. And I would certainly buy a lorry if I could drive again over a Ferrari any day.

Sammy, the truck has 4 tires to support the weight on the trailer front, same as multiple tires on the back of trailer. The only way you would need 4 on the front is if you start eating 9,000 doughnuts a day.
130 isn't a bad price for that truck considering a heavy duty pickup truck over here in Canada cost $120-$140 thousand Canadian
