Faker should be benched. He is dragging the team down every single game
as a longtime viewer and previous T1 fan (in a normal sense), it was my hope that T1 would sign Zeka and run a lineup with Zeus, Oner, Gumayusi, and Keria before the fallout. Zeka always struck me as the midlaner with the most upside potential with a long career ahead of him who could replace Faker - he has that clutch factor that Chovy has consistently lacked. (BDD is also excellent, but there's something intuitively off about the roster, not that it would flounder - just that that doesn't feel as capable as a world's roster). Unfortunately, T1 as an org betrayed Zeus and Gumayusi's trust, so that will never happen, and I'm happy to see Zeus and Gumayusi with two stellar players in Kanavi and Zeka. (I even preferred Oner over Kanavi, and still think Oner is excellent, but his gank-heavy, thoughtful pathing clearly showed its weakness in this series as he consistently fell behind Kanavi to get his laners ahead, who subsequently failed to utilize their advantages. also Peyz building stormrazor's over IE was unacceptable). Delight has been a real disappointment, because I know how excellent he used to be in the T1 vs Delight matchups, where he would frequently be a thorn in T1's side and look comparable to Keria during engage metas (especially his Popppy). He has consistently looked weak in HLE's matchups and has lost leads for Gumayusi, even if those leads were only in CS, by getting caught consistently. This, however, might just be growing pains given HLE's success in their aggressive early-mid game approach as they refine further. Although I dislike all of these organizations now, especially HLE because of its slow reaction to Clid's sexual abuse, I am totally rooting for the players on HLE. Love Gumayusi and Zeus playing together again, it's a treat to watch! T1, on the other hand, looks out of sorts because of Faker's continual blunders (he really looks like he has lost his edge; having watched his entire career, he is definitely looking his most vulnerable as a player right now). None of the other players are weak, but it is obvious that they are lacking the cohesion that they had with Gumayusi. T1's instability is majorly impacted by Faker's performance, but Peyz (who is excellent) is not a stabilizing player. T1 has transformed into a typical, Uzi-like team of protect the ADC, and it feels like if Peyz falls, T1 falls. That was not the case with Gumayusi, and that is why it always struck me as a mistake to have a player like him with a roster like this. To lock Keria, Oner, and Faker into a predictable gameplan revolving around hypercarry ADC play detracts from their strengths and highlights their playstyle weaknesses (Faker's declining play, Oner's farming sacrifices, and Keria's inability to stabilize the map while Guma weaksides). Like Peyz is playing Gumayusi's champs! Jhin? Aphelios? My goodness, what a blunder to replace the player who even Ruler learned from to build Jhin. Guma's aphelios was once the best in the world his second year! T1 is going to need Faker to improve his play (Aurora is not the only issue; questionable tps & flashes have been increasing for years), and if they can't then they will need to transform their playstyle to accommodate his weakness - that involves unlocking Keria and Oner to enable Faker to use his game knowledge to impact the map (which he is consistently stronger than other midlaners still in doing in his map reads), and that means Peyz will just fill a role that Guma did, which just raises the question of why Peyz replaced Guma at all (highlighting bad organization foresight).
CAN THEY STOP GIVING FAKER AURORA? He can't even do aurora plays like the other mid laners to all regions. I'm not a hater but every time they let him pick aurora they LOSE
