I agree with everything, except one. I think it’s beneficial for everyone at some point in their lives (the earlier the better) to live on their own, even if only for a few months. The things you learn about yourself when you are finally on your own are massive.

With library cards, the more you use it, the more it helps the library! It "proves" that they need their budgets each year. Additionally, it keeps clutter out of the house and junk out of the landfill.

Man, I thought I knew the rules: work hard, hustle, save every cent. But I always felt stuck. Then someone casually mentioned Power Behind Locked Door by Jacob Rockefeller in a comment somewhere, and I swear, it felt like accidentally stumbling onto forbidden knowledge. It made me question every single thing I'd been taught about money, wealth, and success. Not gonna lie, I felt like I was cheating the system just by reading it.
If one is lucky enough to find a roommate or partner that you get along with, then that’s wonderful! But otherwise, for your peace of mind and mental health, enjoy living by yourself 🤗 Peace of mind and mental health are priceless!

Libraries are the biggest miss that most people don’t realize all the resources they have locally!
I buy 4 Costco chickens at a time for $19.96, pull the meat off (disposable kitchen gloves makes it easier), package in 2 cup portions & freeze it. It’s my idea of fast food since it’s pre cooked, thaws easily, & can go into soups while still frozen. I use it for stir fry, quesadillas, casseroles, nachos, and with pasta.
Nah, I’d rather live in a shed then live with people- I need peace.

Speaking as someone who just celebrated anniversary #61, it was the most important factor in determining the trajectory of life, more so than job, finances, or location. Of course, we had a big advantage: we met in calculus class, and nerds of a feather flock together.

I beg to differ on the "living alone" question. You said "speaking from experience" right after saying that you have never lived alone. Sorry, but that's not experience. If you had tried living alone, and found great reasons for living with others ... that would be experience. I have lived with my parents, then with my husband and children, then with roommates, and now 26 years on my own. For me, alone has been the best choice. Both emotionally and financially. But we are all different. Maybe it wouldn't work for you. But you admitted you've never tried it.
Men’s clothes are also better quality/last longer which is why I buy men’s polos, socks, shoes, and belts.
My brother and I decided years ago that we won’t do gifts for one another. Huge relief over the years to not have to run out and buy stuff and also to know I don’t have random inventory to take home and deal with. Also, money. lol
Yes to library cards for frugal living! I started gardening this year, and I got most of my seeds and/or seedlings from our library’s seed library or swaps!

As a positive response about living alone from someone who has for more than a decade, I am an aromantic asexual person and a spouse will never enter the picture. My financial goal has always been to live alone and adopt a child. You are absolutely right about the financial burden of living a purposefully single life and it's why I bought a condo rather than a house. I wish that society did not expect the same cost for me to live as it does for a dual income family. But until then, the extra money I spend to live a peaceful life away from my emotionally toxic parents in a space that entirely my own is worth it. I can live minimally and control what comes in and out of my house without having to rely on the approval of others. And when I do welcome a child, it will be on my own terms and I will have more peace to sacrifice time, money, and energy for them than if I had someone in that space. TL;DR, you are 100% right in the video, but just offering a positive perspective on why that extra expense might be worth it for some purposefully single people.
