You gotta roll with the issues at hand during installations because there is almost always some damages during shipping. You guys are doing great! This is one of the most exciting times because having a kitchen is everything to feel the reality of a new home space.

That spot under the window is perfect for a little bench with a shelf below it for your cookbooks. You could use the bench for seating or growing herbs for the kitchen.
