There’s no bigger horror in this video than trying to find cheap housing, especially in today’s market.
As someone recently diagnosed with epilepsy, I have SUCH a deep appreciation for the flashing lights warnings (especially that they include when it’s safe to continue watching). I find myself flinching all of the time while watching shows/videos/movies that suddenly show strobe lights without warning. I wish flashing lights warnings were commonplace in all media. I should also note that I’ve always been grateful for flashing light warnings even before my diagnosis, knowing they can be a trigger for individuals with seizure disorders. It just wasn’t something that applied to me previously.
A "super dense" place with no people in sight is actually an incredible concept for a horror game
Ah, Kowloon Walled City. I found out about this place a few months ago and did a deep dive because the lore is so fascinating. Fun fact, it was actually possible to travel from one side of the city to the other without ever touching the ground due to a makeshift network of staircases and passageways that connected all the buildings
The heroes who watched the video in less than five hours should gather here..
The Walled City does not exist anymore, no. It was completely demolished in the '90s, but it remains an absolutely fascinating inspiration for cyberpunk and horror settings
market pliers in a consistent rate after finally being done with all the things about Copper Intestine
If anyone is curious according to wiki, "Kowloon Walled City no longer exists, as it was demolished between 1993 and 1994. The area is now occupied by Kowloon Walled City Park, which opened in 1995".
Kowloon Walled City was one of the worst case of "urban jungle" in the late 20th century. More than 33k people lived in more than 300 buildings packed in just 7 acres. Nowadays, this conglomerate has been razed to the ground, and its terrain repurposed as one of Hong Kong's most beautiful parks, with plenty of informative signs telling you all about the story of KWC.
I appreciate this game for it's exceptionally rare good flashlight logic, a consistent beam which actually illuminates things that seems to be controlled separately from your head movements, it's damn near perfect
You know he is done with the movie when he uploads every day
Bad Ending: we didn't take the puppy :(

Promising developer. Well made, lots of clever design bits, solid buildup+overall pacing, minimal reliance on jumpscares. I never felt that the game held on anything for too long. The uncertainty between real and percieved threats was well done, too. I hope they're doing other projects
For a second at the start I was “wait, Kowloon, Hong Kong, that Kowloon? I don’t remember it looking like that when living in Hong Kong” and then had to look it up and learn it is indeed the same place but different times. Just barely missed it by a few years
Freaking love learning about Kowloon walled city, the mailmen were some of the few people who genuinely knew how to get around that city
mark's reaction towards a pup in the game is one of the reasons I love this man
I feel very welcomed

If not kow, then why loon shaped?
