there's so much to Astarion. He has so much scenes and dialog options. And Neil performance is just amazing in these scenes, especially the ascencion ones (whether Astarion ascends or not- my favorite is when he's convinced not to ascend, the pain is tearing the air).

Astarion's "I will _NOT_ become him" is something I can relate to. WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME TRAUMA BOND WITH HOT VAMPIRE MEN?

if i ever get this dialogue i will leave the game, uncork a bottle of wine and drink myself senseless because i must’ve made some horrible fucking choices to hurt this man to that point and i know for sure that i’d hate myself for it until the end of time

Him saying these lines naked makes it even more dramatic! Its like he is bearing his soul for everyone to see! Such a big moment, especially for someone who used to hide himself in an easy-going, cunning and manipulative disguise in order to survive.

So, i guess after that without been true vampire and leaving your party he will become illithid. He is done. That thought crushed me in millions pieces.

I am still surprised people really think astarion becoming the next cazador or leaving your party are the only options you have. If you stood there after astarion left the group and had no thought of: wait there must be another way..well 😂

Its sad to me that he says he wont become cazador but ascended astarion is just like him:(

I own this game, and yet I sit here just wanting it in book form… someone release a choose your own adventure Ebook so I can print it out and decorate it with colorful flags and symbols to tack the storylines

The worst part is knowing this is what happens if you fail to convince him that the ritual is not it, so you let him hate you for his own good.

I hate this so much because I don't feel like he means it. He's scared of being weak, and he really thinks ascension will change that, but I feel like later, when he's calmed down, he would realize he's also scared of being alone, but Larian said "Nah, he ain't coming back"

If you fail to persuade him not to ascend, you should just help him anyways. It isnt our decision, its his. Break up over it if you have too, but clips like this are just sad 😢. Thank you tho for uploading, this is just my opinion on the situation.
