I like how we go from this sorta normal dnd intro to actual literal shadow hell then just show up to the city like we didn’t just walk through fleshy corridors filled with the repurposed remains of an uncountable amount of innocent villagers. But now we get to have a cool outfit store!

Act 3 has so much that it's overwhelming. After finishing the game once, I typically get all the way to act 3 and then put it down until I start a new game.

The upsides to Act 2 are some of the story arcs and conclusions. Some of my favourite moments are from Act 2. But yeah, this was pretty much spot on.😂

Literal rollercoaster. Act one = the tension building sun in your eyes to blind you from the horrors awaiting ascent. Act two = vertical drop corkscrew through a dark tunnel. Act three = the shadows never leave.

When I walked into the House of Healing for the first time and saw the horror movie asylum aesthetic, I went "hells no" and closed the game for the day 😂

Hitting act 3 really is just a brick wall on the enjoyment level. It goes from feeling like you're adventuring and gaining new strengths and abilities, to feeling like you're just doing chores

I feel like I'm in the minority here but I really enjoy Act 3. Idk just the amount of sidequests you can pick up and drop really captures the energy of a DnD game, and I really like the combat and how the fights get more challenging while letting you feel powerful. I find Act 1 to be kind of a slog at times but Act 3 really suits my playstyle of picking up the game for 2 hours, playing one quest and then taking a break.

By Act three you are checking crypts and rotting basements to find the clown's body parts

Act 2 is pretty intense. By the time you get to Act 3, it's like WTF did we go through? Then there's Act 3 and honesty, you want even more. More cities. More quests. More romance. More friends.

Spoiler Free: Act 1 areas are the prettiest. The lighting is so nice in the mountain pass and the colours of the myconid colony are gorgeous in the underdark. Every companion and yourself has a good motive to continue the story. Act 2 is my favourite. It has that cutscene that I will never skip, even in my 8th run. It's got my favourite boss fight and one of my favourite written lines. It's also the first time I heard Tav speak a voice line in a cutscene. It sets the atmosphere so well. The ending is so satisfying in a good playthrough. Your consequences start coming to head. Not talking to certain tieflings in the grove means certain tieflings won't be there. Act 3: Overwhleming on a first playthrough but that adds to the fact that you are in a big city. Has some of the best voice acting from the companions, when we give them what they need. One of the best twists I have ever seen from a game. The strategic fights, like the Iron Throne are so fun. The act has a similar feeling to game of thrones, especially in the opening cutscene with two important people.

Not to mention the absolute emotional whiplash at every step of the way. From "Oh these characters all seem to have their own missions in mind, I can help them achieve it" To straight up Trauma.
