Patreon → https://www.patreon.com/c/wickedwiz Twitter → https://twitter.com/WickedWizard15 Hello Neighbor as a franchise has proven to be very successful, from this success the spinoff called Hello Engineer emerged. It's strange to see that not many people talk about Hello Engineer specifically. It's not the worst game, but very mid in everything it does. It feels hollow, more like a Scrap Mechanic clone without any heart. After Google Stadia shutdown, Hello Engineer finds itself sat on the steam store at mixed reviews. In hindsight it could easily work in the Hello Neighbor universe but there's no chase to it, no thrill to make it feel like a game from that IP. SketchFab assets used in video → https://skfb.ly/pHWDE ---------------------------- This video is similar to that of a What Went Wrong style video. I didn't feel that the story was deep enough to turn it into a what went wrong, however I do feel that it was worth at least bringing together the top level timeline of what happened to a game that now sits in many people's libraries.

Ok fine I can talk about it. The game was initially envisioned as a Stadia project. The idea was to run an insane physics simulation in the cloud. Think thousands of objects running in a simulation, and player would connect to it and “stream it”, essentially nullifying any issues that traditional multiplayer games have with sync and lag. Unfortunately the Stadia tech did not fulfill this promise and we had to make the best out of the limited tech we had. Sometimes jumping in head first into new tech works out, sometimes it doesn’t
Bruh at this point I feel bad for the neighbor. Man is literally just trying to live, but first his neighbor breaks in to uncover the lore of his home, then he buys a run down amusement park, and a bunch of Phineas and Ferb wannabes break into that to steal his copper wiring. Man is the victim here
RIP my neighbor he got hit by a bazooka
I'm genuinely astonished this company still exists.
I didn't even know this existed and I am extremely terminally online. That says a lot about what went wrong.
Literally just assume anything even related to the neighbour is just completely broken.
"This could have been an email" This could have been a Roblox game.
Looking forward to the open world gacha Hello Neighbour game with the Neighbour dressed as various anime girls.
Hello Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
type of game jerma would spend $70 on
It's very strange to me how much they tried to capitalize on Hello Neighbor, mainly because like, hello neighbor is genuinely not a very engaging or unique property, like the original game (the alphas specifically) were pretty neat, but the intriguing part was the house, not the guy, like exploring a spooky dr seussian house was really cool, and relatively unique, but the neighbor isn't much of a character himself, the house is the antagonist, the neighbor is just an obstacle. So it baffles me that he has become this weird like shoehorned figure in all of these unrelated games.
Hello Neighbor: Nuts & Bolts
Hello Neighbor: “parkour up 7 stories of this house and stop the train at the perfect time to jump over it and throw a box into these gears to deactivate the magnet” Hello Engineer: “go up this hill”
Hello neighbour franchise peaked in alpha
This is literally Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts
11:05 "It does feel unfinished, especially towards the end" literally the hello neighbor slogan
From the gameplay in the video this LITERALLY just looks like a reskinned Scrap Mechanic clone.
What if scrap mechanic but worse
You barely see people talk about the Hello Neighbor series outside of the YouTubers almost obligated to play it, and it seems to disappear from public conscious completely for years. Despite this, it has a show and a soon-to-be third game. where does this money even come from?
These guys really can't help themselves from effing up their games for literally no reason. Love how the polishing process for them is "what If I just made the game worst" and then rush the game out
