Is it still susceptible to WASM crash?
What does "Ramp" and "Notch" in throttle? I think i understand it wrong. Is "Ramp" = "FLX" on Airbus? Is "Notch" = "CL" on Airbus? I calibrated it as TOGS, FLX, CL Airbus settings. But ATR does not have Autothrottle arm button, like Boeing or PC12/PC24. But when I add power, around 40% thrust, the thrust went back to zero. I cant reach takeoff speeds. I don't have Airbus throttle quadrant. I have Honeycomb Bravo and have set a dedicated profile for ATR, based on 2-engine turboprop settings.
Pretty good for a buggy piece of junk! Is it perfect? No it’s not even close, but for the £15 I paid it’s usable and fingers crossed will receive some updates to make it better. Thanks for the video.
Fantastic, no-nonsense tutorial! Addressing that SimBrief OFP import fix right at the beginning [01:09] will save so many new ATR pilots from endless frustration. I also love that you kept the real-world quirks in—like having to step in and help the LNAV with a 'Direct To' during that tight departure turn [19:30]. Seeing how to actually handle the system's limitations is way more helpful than a "perfect" flight where nothing goes wrong. You were absolutely spot on about managing the thrust manually during descent and approach, too. Because the ATR isn't an Airbus, speed can drop off incredibly quickly once you start adding drag. For anyone in the comments struggling with the autopilot blowing past tight LNAV departure turns: try holding your speed back just a little longer before accelerating to your 170kt climb speed. The slower speed gives you a tighter turn radius, which helps the autopilot track complex SIDs much better! Have you tried taking this bird into any tricky, short-field regional airports yet? I'd love to see a video of you tackling a challenging approach like London City or maybe even somewhere up in the Scottish Highlands next!
Hey guys, im building a pilot/flight analytics model for people to analyze their flights and events more in depth using AI. Just curious, would u guys be interested in that? If so, would uploading a cover file to a website work? Any other ideas would be really appreciated
Couple minor things you may be unaware of. First on the chk list the CDLS says to switch ON (Cabin Door Locking System) when you move the switch to lock it will actually lock the cabin door and only switching it to unlock will it allow it to open. Second on the ND Display if you leave TCAS to AUTO it will show TCAS STBY and not be functioning. However, if you switch it to TA ONLY or STBY and then back to AUTO it will show TCAS ABOVE meaning it is now functioning and will show air craft nearby. That is a bug in the ATR for both 2020 and 2024.

The beginner's guide for this buggy piece of junk is as follows: Open the menu, uninstall it, and never think about it again! What the people responsible are pulling with this ATR is an absolute OUTRAGE! 90% of ALL BUGS from the 2020 version are still present. Never again, MSFS!
