Behavioral theory says we interact with our Environment. Behavioral theory is based on Classical conditioning and Operant Conditioning. Combining observing thinking and behaving we can determine approaches to modify certain behaviors.

I appreciate the island drawing, very well explained. The pavlov dog experiment has been an example for many years to show what classical conditioning was.

Understanding behavioral theory is important because it helps explain how people make decisions and why they act the way they do. It also helps us develop strategies to change harmful behaviors or reinforce positive ones.

Just to clarify, current behaviorism does consider thought and emotion, as does cognitive psychology. What differentiate those to psychoanalysis is that the two first study human mind and behavior scientifically.

While Operant condition has a strong empirical experimental support, psycho-analysis does not.
