Systemic Racism Explained

Activism

Systemic racism affects every area of life in the US. From incarceration rates to predatory loans, and trying to solve these problems requires changes in major parts of our system. Here's a closer look at what systemic racism is, and how we can solve it. Computer science PhD and former CEO of a fortune 500 tech company here. People in here claiming that "black people have it so easy" need to stop gaslighting and get a reality check. The misconception that Black people benefit unfairly from affirmative action in the private sector ignores the reality of systemic inequalities in hiring practices. If anything Black people are more qualified than white, east asian, and Latinx applicants but have to work twice as hard to get half. Sure some companies have affirmative action policies but at most they aim to counteract these disparities by promoting diversity and inclusion in workplaces that have historically favored majority white and white adjacent groups. Studies consistently show that Black job applicants face discrimination at higher rates than their white, east asian and latinx counterparts, even when they possess similar or better qualifications and experience.

He says that there’s no one responsible for systematic racism. The white man is who is responsible.

I have one wish for the New Year. You stop making noise to others about how much you like it that I seem to put up with your inequity quietly and endure all without getting anything in return. Thanks.

Selective racism is something so bad that people from different races are denied opportunities and chances.

“There’s no single person or entity responsible for it” yeaaaa right. That’s like saying that racism came out of nowhere.

When I was younger city child , I never knew these things existed. Nobody had ever talked about things like this. Everybody in our neighborhood was in the same position. It was black, but very multicultural. I love multicultural.
