According to Mehalic (who beat ISAB's time btw), that #1 time is apparently not hacked at all. What a legend. Edit: And Mehalic just proved it! He tried again and managed to usurp the #1 spot. Another legend.
"I can't wait to collect more trophies and unlock new bloon skins this week!" The 1 billion health Diamondback in the corner:
I think if NK is going to do bosses like this, they need to make significant improvements to the quality of life. In an event where paragon degrees are so important why do we STILL have no indicator for the degree? There’s no reason to not have it and it just wastes time without. Also the lag really needs to be addressed. It was fine when it was just free play but the fact that it’s happening on bosses makes it really unfun. I get that it’s a big task but it would make things so much better in the long run.
The snake in the room has finally been addressed. Ngl I certainly wasn't expecting them to escalate it to 1B this early, now that'll be hard to top... The previous tankiest boss event for reference: /watch?v=uyLGUm1I81U
1 trillion HP coming soon.

17:30 I'm studying to be a game dev and I just wanted to let you know that having the game be able to run on multiple cores wouldn't really do anything. The game uses a single main thread which is fine, a lot of games on the lower end, graphics wise do this. Making the game run on multiple threads, say 1 for damage calculations and another for bloon pathfinding would improve the games performance in theory yes but in practice a problem occurs. The problem is dependencies. Bloon movement affects targeting, targeting affects damage or damage buffs (like that one military monkey knowledge), damage affects bloon state, bloon state affects pathing/splitting/spawns. The issue is, it takes a lot of effort to redo everything. It's a long process if they wanted to split logic between threads it most likely won't happen till BTD7. Also, simply "allowing the game to use multiple cores" does not magically improve performance. The code has to be designed for parallel execution. AKA, doing processes simultaneously and mostly independently without sharing data between each thread (in more technical terms, with minimal synchronization and shared-state overhead). This is what a GPU does and why graphics heavy games are mostly bottlenecked by the GPU and not CPU (which is true but the CPU can also be the bottleneck because of draw calls, physics, AI, scripting, asset streaming etc). GPUs do parallel processing. Take a game like Stellaris. Not the most beautiful game, but a lot of math goes behind it. Similar to btd6 but on a bigger scale. Stellaris heavily relies on one main thread, even though it does use multiple threads for some tasks (which is true for BTD6 too). They can increase its core utilization, but doing so to a meaningful degree requires a massive, fundamental rework of its underlying engine, or likely a completely new engine. This would be stupid to do for Stellaris. They are basically making a new game at that point. BTD6 wouldn't need a new engine since it uses Unity, but it would need a massive rework to all the systems which would take way too long for just a normal update. In my opinion, the best solution would be to improve all mathematical calculations, improve bloon pathfinding (idk if its actually bad, but if it is they should fix it lol), reduce unnecessary CPU overhead, and optimize models and textures wherever possible. Those kinds of optimizations are far more realistic for a normal update than attempting a massive multithreading overhaul of the game’s core systems. A little note on some of the technical stuff: CPUs are optimized for complex sequential tasks and low-latency logic while GPUs are optimized for massive throughput across thousands of simpler operations. CPU overhead is the background processing tasks the CPU must perform to support game rendering—such as draw calls, AI and physics—that are not directly part of the core game logic.
I was waiting forever for this response, lmao
Finally, i couldn't sleep without isab covering this event
25:46 That's 1 year's worth of emotion ISAB showed here
"How am i gonna beat tier 1? Well, as you can see-" ahh, PMFC, pretty standa- "Dart paragon" a-... no yeah that makes more sense
I can already feel my phone lagging
0:25 did everyone forget about the 600M HP Bloonarius? While the modifier wasn't the highest, the effective HP was.
I used mods to mess around and a hypersonic degree 88 Crucible of Steel and Flame couldn't pop tier 4 elite. I ended up adding a 0-0-3 super monkey beacon with no cooldown to deal enough damage to the boss.
24:47 the wizard mistress must be really good to go against sauda
As a person that beat this as my first boss event, I would eat a bowl of cereal
