a great way to keep the randomness of geysers while still giving control to the players would be to make geysers immediately activate upon setup before randomness, this way you can use pistons to to block and unblock and since geysers first activation is immediate this gives us precise control. Bonus points if they find some way for a permanently activated geyser.

Especially since there's a focus on minigames and whatnot, I'm surprised we can't dye sulfur cubes, that would be really cool to have and may open the door to invisible cubes without potions

My vote is to lead all the TNT cubes to a magma cube, and drop the magma cube off the Happy Ghast WITHOUT disconnecting the TNT cubes. The TNT will stay more contained and spread faster
