The fact that Karl Urban's first name is spelled with a K instead of a C makes his casting more perfect for the movie. Also, why is no one upset that Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) is absent in the movie completely?
Saw it today. It was fudgin blast! The fights are so exciting and creative. They're so well done that I'd say they're on par with video game cinematics

I recently got to see an advanced screening of the film, and loved every minute of it. It is a two hour love letter to the fandom, and an apology to anyone that felt scorned by the first. Such a fun ride.

Cole Young – His superpower is gold nanoplating. Bulletproof, heat-resistant, counter-blast automatic. He’s basically Man of Steel if Man of Steel had a costume from a vending machine. But wait—when Shao Kahn’s hammer swings for his head, the power just… vanishes? No plating on the skull? How convenient. Almost like the plot needed him to lose so the next battle could start. No arc. No stakes. Just armor that works until it doesn’t.
But I don't think these movies will ever beat the 90s Mortal Kombat. ❤
