I watched a yt video before where he places a chicken farm for months just for the video, hunting and setting traps for all the wild animals that robs him of some chickens. There was a pair of foxes, he killed one then the other always got away... then he left the area entirely because he couldn't kill the other fox no matter what he did. Now I realized why that happens.
