My oldest brother is 62. I'm the mistake baby and I'm 43. He's been a gamer since the 70s and last I spoke to him he just finished Ghost of Yotei. There's definitely some market for "old gamers" idk how much but I can say there's a ton of players in their 40s. I talk to players daily online that. Are 40-45.
One of those "ageing gamers" here. Been playing since the 1970s. Not stopping anytime soon.
Still waiting on my pizza Jake 🍕🍕
As a 50-year-old gamer, normal difficulty often feels harder now, even though my reaction times are still probably above average. They’re just not what they were 20–30 years ago. I can still force my way through a soulslike, but it’s not very enjoyable , and eventually I won’t be able to do it at all. I don’t need «old people games,» but I do think accessibility options, difficulty sliders, and ways to reduce reaction-time pressure are going to matter more as lifelong gamers get older.
Rockstar could do the funniest thing ever by moving the GTA 6 release date up to the start of September.
Thank you Jake "Pizzas On Me" Baldino
I'm 51 year old XSX gamer who still loves Action/RPG (Witcher, Cyberpunk, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Diablo, Oblivion) especially if it has a halfway decent plot/storyline. Bizarrely, it's my 25 yo daughter who favours "Dad Games" (Powerwash Simulator, House Flipper) This weekend, though 200 miles apart, we are both playing The Witcher 3 though we have vastly different play styles
The "Grey Gamer" low key signs pretty mythical.
Certified watch on break banger
53 year old gamer here, been gaming for over 43 years since the zx spectrum 48k days and before that a binatone system that used to play bat and ball type games. I don't need special games made for older players, happy to play what the kids are playing. Just about to start Sekiro this weekend, been in my backlog for too long
Regarding aging gamers, this is why the "get good" mentality annoys me and why I'm all for easy modes on games. As we age our reflexes slow down, so why are so many people against easy modes when we'll ALL eventually appreciate that it exists. I'm 40 and still appreciate higher difficulties, but I also have a degenerative genetic disorder that causes dislocations and pain in my hands and wrists, so I'm noticing limits now and have knocked a few games down to easy because I still want to experience them.
Happy Friday everyone!
378 year old gamer here. I remember when Jump Rope came out, really changed the gaming landscape for the worse

I'm 57 and still game daily!
I just bought the Witcher 3 wild hunt, I played it when I was a little younger on the Xbox One s. I never got very far, so I'm very excited to get into it now. I only have a PlayStation 4, but I'm going to get the five when GTA 6 comes out. This will be another reason to get one I guess🎉
New ESRB: "R" for "Retired" lol
Imagine if they dropped another major Cyberpunk DLC 🤯

Older gamer here 👊, one of the first on my block to get Pong lol. Still love gaming, rock on my fellow senior gamers 🤟. Don't need games developed specially for seniors, bring all the games baby!
