They renamed the L96A1 to the L115 because the L96 designation was the older one from the 70s (I believe the 70s I could be wrong with that) and the L115 is the modern military designation of this rifle. Wrote this incase you wanted to know! Also I know it's a dated weapon now but for nostalgia it would be awesome to see the L86A2 LSW return.
