This box of old game consoles and games was found by one of my viewers - in their attic! So they sent them to me to see if I can get them working again. We had the Atari 2600 and 5200. The controllers would not last long and started not actuating the button pads inside. The consoles came with a tv/game switcher.
That Atari is painfully crunchy, I've eaten chips less crunchy than that!
I had an ATARI 2600 with over 130 games. Love this video. Keep up the great work. Best wishes. 🙏🏻❤️
that pointmaster controler was awesome.
New Shell? You could 3d print a case for the Atari 7800. Just a thought.
Thanks for the video!
There are vendors who sell replacement switches for the 2600. Sadly the eBay sellers who used to sell all the 2600 game labels have mostly disappeared. Also replace the 7805 with a TRACO 2450.
New video series idea-when Steve finds gunk and doesn’t know what it was s, he sends it to a lab for analysis. There could be some very interesting stories
GALAGA BRINGS BACK SO MANY MEMORIES
The Atari always worked, hahaha—it was just the TV channel.
I would kill for one of those paddles. My 7800 is still as good as the day I got it but both the paddle controllers died and they're hard to find. Sega Genesis controllers do work on the 7800 so that's nice.
dude, those atari game cartridges are worth some money. some of those are first "gen" atari games
still got my Atria 2600 still works from 1984 3:03 Excellent to MInt Condition.
Has anyone made a transparent 7800 replacement case? Steve needs to be on the case for that 😁
woot! love when you fix old games and consoles!
Yea the 7800 and 2600 junior have very brittle plastic shells. Same thing happened to me when I had a 7800 shipped from an Atariage user which was also very well packed. Luckily it was just the top shell which I hijacked a replacement from a dead 7800 lying around
That 2600 put a smile on my face! Many memories and quarters saved from not going to the arcade.
After ive lifted the pins back up on a NES connector I put some IPA on a piece of cardboard and push it in the slot. Seems to work well to clean them.
Hey Steve! I can't believe the first thing you pulled out of that treasure chest of a box was an Atari 2600 Mario Bros.!!! Followed by Donkey Kong?!? Whaaaaaaaat????? Love you, love the channel, and love videos like this. Cheers from CA
Galaga on the Atari 7800 is a real treat! This video was great!
