First thing I said when I saw and clicked on the video was "No waaaaaaay", the fact Dan said "Yes indeeeeed" caught me off guard and has me on the floor HAHAHA

Dan, just wanted to note that this video really made your expertise and your years of experience with these games by now really shine through. I've played through this game twice by now and wasn't sure if watching you go through the tutorial area was something i'm interested in. However, your character, your humor and your reflections on the sillyness of this very clear soulslike-but-not-fromsoft game made me lough out loud multiple times in the first 30 minutes. Whatever you & Carrie do, please never stop making these. You guys are true gems of the Youtube-Sphere <3.

"P-Organ" makes "Finger Maiden" sound like friggin' Tolkien by comparison.

Spoiler free tip: play with the weapon system. Try everything with everything, even if it seems absurd, especially if it seems absurd. The weapon system is amazingly rewarding and a joy to mess with.

Once you finish this game, there's a fantastic video essay out there that actually covers the surprisingly deep connections and references between Lies of P and the original Pinocchio story. It is of course absolutely riddled with spoilers, but it's a great watch. I'll have to try and remember to drop a link to it in the Finale

In italian, "gn" is the equivalent of ñ from spanish (so Dan was basically right). "gni" is like "nyee". "gna" is like "nyah" as in lasagna (think also gnocchi). I don't remember if it comes up, but "gli" is like "yee" and "glia" is like "yah" (think "famiglia"). These are oversimplifications, the sound isn't quite the same, but those are sort of closest equivalents comfortable to a native english speaker, especially without an audio guide. Nearly everything else in italian is pretty much phonetic, though the vowels are different from english: a is 'ah', e is between 'eh' and a long 'A' sound, i is an 'ee' sound, o is 'oh', and u is 'oo'. I liked the idea of lies of P, but something caused me to bounce off of it when I played...something about the combat didn't feel satisfying in the same way. I hope this inspires me to dive back in.

your hunch with reading the Advance stat being the Arcane stat from Bloodborne is correct. It boosts the scaling of elemental weapons and throwables. Unlike Bloodborne where Arcane builds take so much effort to start coming online, the Advance build for LoP is very quick to come online and is quite powerful. throwables in this game are also very strong. they can actually do quite a lot for you
