Used to love that game, wasn’t until I was a teenager that I realized the developer was almost certainly high out of their mind, because it was a ludicrous premise for a video game at the time. American here. In the wake of Margaret Thatcher’s death, it was reported here that “Ding! Dong! The Witch Is Dead!” From “The Wizard of Oz” had re-entered the charts in the UK. I remember it being the subject of quite a lot of joking online even here. Imagine a song like that charting when a deeply hated political figure dies… Surely something like that could never happen again…

The cancellation of Star Fox 2 was as confounding a thing as Nintendo has ever done... or rather, ALWAYS done. Imagine cancelling a game that's nearly complete, just because you think people will try to compare it to games on a newly released platform. After sinking so much money into it, even if the game "failed" from a sales point of view, at least they would've gotten SOMETHING from their investment.
