I love the text trying its hardest to make this scene make any sense logically. Yeah he can't see through zinc, doesn't change his ability to hear or move incredibly fast

The show establishes that HL's hearing is so good that he bases his judgements off of people's heart beats, even when they are across the room. Hughie is scared shitless here, his heart would be pounding. But he doesn't hear him, and A-train (The guy who physically makes train noises when using his powers) is able to whisk Hughie away in a vent completely silently without revealing which way he went or that he showed up to save Hughie. This is the same show people glazed for years before the ending finally opened their eyes.

It’s almost laughable seeing people call out homelanders power inconsistencies as if he has ever taken the time to fully master his abilities 😂 the vought scientist taught him just enough so that he would break someones hand in a handshake and accidentally laser someone

He still could have quickly looked downwards to laser the whole duct in half instead of lasering it at hughie's crawl speed.
