Movies Hollywood Behind the Scenes Filmmaking Movie Trivia Cinema Facts Waitβ¦ the director actually did WHAT to the prop team?? π± Hollywood directors are built different. While prop teams spend weeks carefully crafting the perfect fake, some directors justβ¦ swap it for the real thing without telling anyone. In The Godfather, the prop team built a fake horse head β only for Coppola to reject it and source a REAL one from a dog food factory. The actor woke up to it and his horror was 100% genuine. Nobody warned him. π In Total Recall, makeup artist Rob Bottin built such a realistic prosthetic that director Paul Verhoeven thought an actor had filmed an entire scene behind his back. He was furious. It was just a prop. The entire time. And honestly? That's exactly why these movies still hold up decades later. The real stuff hits different. β€οΈπ¬ Which one shocked you the most? Shouldvhave used a magnet on a rope, for those people that dont know. NEEDLES ARE MAGNETIC. IM A NURSE. GUESS WHATS USED TO REMOVE BROKEN NEEDLES.
Nobody said it so I am. Its a needle in a haystack.
The guy that tossed that set of proper syringes in there ~ "wanna play a game"
why didnt they just use a huge magnet?
Magnet β Metal detector β
Comment if you noticed it before watching this π
That's crazy when a magnet probably would have been the best choice
That's scene is literally my worst nightmare. I still can't watch that scene without flinching.
Well general disposal cheaper syringes are not magnetic so yeah that was the only option π
β Find a Needle in a Haystack β Find a Needle in a Needle stack
I heard differently, in the actual interview they say that they put a foam mat in the bottom to fill out the pit, and PURPOSELY put in actual needles
The needle scene was filmed on the streets of San Francisco. Only 10 sq/ft was needed.
Even the makers had a taste of the game
Honestly this story and imagining their stress is more scary than the actual movieπ
So, this is the reason i dont trust props teams. In reality, it wasnt knocked in. They shouldnt have been on the set at all and the durector has said that. Someone DELIBERATLY put real needles in there and thats why you choose who works with props yourself
I have one word "Magnets "!.
A lot of people talk about Magnets, but that would work. Syringes aren't magnetic, it would be pretty bad if they were. A magnet wouldn't do anything here.
God this scene still makes my skin crawl, literally out of all the Saw movies this is the single most cursed scene for me.
Yo that 2 was making a run for it πππ
Couldnβt they have just used the magnet
