Ok my mum would never refuse to me if I asked her to cook me something. She has arthritis and joints pain and she would still go and cook something for me. That's why when she asks if i want anything to eat i say im not hungry and manage myself or at least i try to be.

Parents really be saying whatever. Nothing makes sense. More than that: "I do the dishes and clean for you" vs "you can do the dishes it's not that big of a deal"

I feel like I'll be reaching 20s still asking my parents if I can have a night out with my mates

The undisputed GOAT of these skits. Like "parent / parent-child dynamic" comedy.

notice that the first group consists of "Hey mom. I have this basic necessity that i cant do by myself so i am asking you to do it for me" and the second group is "Hey can i do this thing that i have shown time and time again (with needing to ask your mother to go to the doctor with you/make you food) that im not responsible enough to make good decisions late at night?" As a parent all i see is a child who 'wants' to be grown without acting grown, and a mother trying to MAKE him grown enough to warrant the trust needed/responsibility needed to do those things. Once they're genuine adults and out on their own, they have no rules but nobody guiding them either. 10/10

If you have to ask your parent it means you're still a kid, because you need their answer.
