Virginia Tech just got an anonymous donation to their athletics department for $75 MILLION

These aren't schools anymore. They are sports franchises with academics as a side hustle.

James Franklin took the money. Penn State gave him to get out of his contract and donated it to himself anonymously.

Good. As a Miami fan this is exactly what the conference needs. The ACC has 3-4 blue chip football programs that can’t ever sync up their successful runs. If Franklin can get VT anywhere near their level of success Coach Beamer had and SMU can get some of that Dallas Oil/Defense money the ACC might survive long enough for FSU and Clemson to get their act together.
