In an in-depth session, Dyche examines both the in-possession and out-of-possession tactics he refined in a 10-year spell that saw the northwest club spend six consecutive seasons competing in the Premier League. In that time, they finished as high as seventh in the table and qualified for European football. He goes on to discuss the tweaks he made to the set-up, including employing a defensively-aware number 10 in a 4-4-1-1 shape, as well as his approach to developing players, such as Kieran Trippier and Danny Ings, within that system. The guy finished 7th in the Premier league with us (Burnley). This is the equivalent of finishing second in a Grand Prix to Lewis Hamilton in a Fiat Punto. The guy is class. He will do well at Everton.
“The dm can’t cover everything… unless he’s Kante, Kante can” 😂😂 I miss watching prime Kante, what a beast he was.
If Everton doesn’t hire this man, they’re doomed. Plain and simple. This is art.
Truly is a Masterclass displayed at Goodison Park by Dyche. He even got a 1-0 with a 60' goal, dycheball.
Unless you're Kante, he can 😅
Pure pragmatism. His results with what he had speak for themselves. I love his attitude that his teams aren’t there to be background scenery for the big clubs, but to hassle them and give them problems. Someone has to hire this guy and give him time to mold a squad that believes in themselves the way those peak Burnley teams did.
If I was Sean Dyche’s agent, I’d get him to do one of these about how he won the Championship as joint top scorers and with a 23 game unbeaten run, to evidence that he can do it with a team that’s expected to win. I do think he could do wonders at a club like Everton, Villa or Leeds if given the chance.
I’m a Newcastle fan, I love this guy. A proper manager. No nonsense, and tactically intelligent. Good luck to him at Everton .
Even when everyone said they had to follow Pep's football, I can't forget manager Sean Dyche, who led Burnley with his own football philosophy, such as long kicks, second balls, pressure formations, and strong physicals. I hope he completes his philosophy and returns to the PL.
I really hope Everton get this man - always liked him at Burnley. Hearing him break this down definitely makes me believe he could keep us up and hopefully kick on after. Seems like a no nonsense guy as well which is what we need and will resonate with the fans!
11:10 - "Unless you are Kanté." Golden.
Proper football manager. Every fan base wants a 433 manager trying to copy pep and get sacked but this is a proper manager.
I really enjoyed this one. Dyche is clearly a fantastic manager and looks like the best choice for Everton right now.
Thought I was about to watch a 19 minute masterclass on parking the bus, glad I was wrong! Brilliant from Dyche, had him all wrong
Achieving what he did at Burnley with hardly any resources was incredibly impressive
fantastic manager who built a team to be proud of. needed literally any help from the board the last three seasons to really stand a chance. hope you go on to bigger and better. #UTC
Getting Burnley to a European competition is one of the most underrated achievements in English football history
Sean Dyche did an amazing job at my club Burnley...The best manager in my 51 years supporting the Clarets. winning the Championship on the back of a 23 games unbeaten run...Marching us into Europe is certainly one thing that i never ever expected see in my lifetime...and for a few seasons actually competing in the EPL....BUT....we then unfortunately became predictable thus becoming very easy to beat and that,s when the football became awful to watch...Sadly it seems that the tactical & technical development of Sean Dyche didn,t happen and that is where things started to go badly wrong... He will always have a warm welcome at Turf Moor and i wish him well for the future...Thank you Sean...You are a Clarets Legend.
It's a privilege to listen to this masterclass. There's a saying, "if you can explain a topic in simple terms, then you've mastered it." Sean certainly mastered the art of coaching football.
Sean dyche is a definelty a legend of English football and Burnley. In my opinion people need to erect a monument to him near Burnley Stadium. Because of him I I learned the principles of the game according to the scheme 4-4-2
