That actually crazily genius and stupid at the same time
Camavinga market value after this: 📈📈
Long range goal/goal attempt if managers start using it:📈📈📈
Neuer is the blueprint once again
It’s a thing in hockey. Makes sense when there’s nothing to lose. A goalie coming up at the end for a corner is practically the same thing.
Surely someone like City with Ederson are 75% of the way there already? He's a better passer than some of the midfielders in the premier league 😅
This is insane but I think the world deserves to see this. Les goooo put KDB and Odegaard in goal
Everyone loves the jeopardy of an empty net in ice hockey
Johan Cruyff wanted to do this at Barca in the early 90s but everybody talked him out of it😂 That man was so much ahead of his time it is crazy
Mourinho is the crazy mad scientist of football
This is exactly what happens in the NHL and I think makes a lot of sense in the right situation
It is called power play in Futsal, but it is worked because Futsal have unlimited substitution so they can sub the keeper back in
That’s why Neuer is so valuable. I played him in attack in FIFA 08, since he was my favorite player.
This is reality in Gaelic Football! Since about 2021 teams started pushing goalkeepers out the pitch, first to press opponents goal kick, then eventually just to create overloads in possession. Many traditional goalkeepers have been replaced with former outfielders, who’ve maybe lost a yard due to age or injury.
Hockey teams do exactly this all the time. Sometimes it backfires but sometimes it works. Probably a bit nuts to try it in football lol but I'd love to see it.
Who is here after Benfica keeper scored against Madrid😂
Kroos in that role coming off the bench would be insane
Neuer be like
Damn Jose is smart.
I feel like City could genuinely do this with Ederson if Pep was brave enough. A lot of the players and staff (both current and former) speak highly of his technical ability on the ball, and there’s even a clip where players like KDB and Gundo mention that he is the best penalty taker at the club (and he recently took one against Madrid). I just think it’s an absolute dumb risk to take though because the counter attacks would most certainly result in a goal.
