Nice Bronco, but $78k is crazy. This thing should be $50k max. Even at $50k you’re staring at $1,000 a month payments before insurance, and most middle class folks can’t swing that. Price is out of control for a FORD.
This car speaks to my inner child, but not to my adult finances.
That dead ended wire is for the pre wired auxiliary switches. And the 2.7 is both direct and port injected.
I have the same powertrain on my 2019 F-150 and it’s been completely trouble free. I had considered waiting on the redesigned Tundra when I bought it. Thank God I dodged that bullet and ended up with a reliable truck.

I have a 21 Badlands Non Sas and its about to hit 95k miles. I have had one brake booster hose go bad, and it still didn't leave me stranded. I keep up on maintenance and it still looks brand new and goes anywhere. The big key about the Bronco is the modularity and ease of repair. It's barely a modern car, more like an old truck with the modern features slapped in. You can take the truck completely apart without special tools. That makes it a 15 year or longer family vehicle. Take off the quarter panels with a standard ratchet and hammer it out with a rubber mallet. It's not built with the same ethos as most modern cars, and I love that. Get them used and they are priced right. I love Broncos and still can't stomache the prices. The prices are as they are because of the off road gear preinstalled and covered by warranty. I got mine used for 34k with the lux package and four doors. All the points you said I mostly agree with though. However, I don't see most older Fords as unreliable.
I like this particular vehicle. This spec is cool. However, I think vehicle manufacturers really want us to be broke. I won't ever pay $50k, let alone $85k for a vehicle. I have a great fondness for all vehicles, but it's no longer sustainable.
