MK3 CORTINA THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAR. Twin lamps, Coke bottle body, GXL my favourite car from when I was a kid ( born 1974) always loved these, proper class. Lucky sod who got her, kudos 👏

Paul, there is another way to get into a Lotus easily. Just sayin' Peter Nelson's is only next door... Mind you, in an elise don't bother having a leak before you get in., That car will do it for you.

Back in the late 70s my father's company car was a Cortina GXL..in metallic blue luxury in its day..
Like the both the mk2 1600e and mk3 gxl cortinas love the colours. However for me I love the california tribute i wish id had a bid. The s1 elise was a cracking buy, prices on these appear to be dropping from what they were.
Great video Paul, there was some cracking deals there most of which were IMO under priced, for me the deal of the auction was the Mk3 1.6 GXL but it would have been a better car if it was a 2.0 but it's lovely as is👌I'm to old now for these little lotus cars I have enough problems getting in and out of my SLK so more often and not I use my Mk2 Granada👴👍
Having watched a few other auctions very recently, maximum bids seem to be much lower than the reserves. Not sure if it's the time of year, people haven't got the disposal income or prices are generally on the slide ?? Seems perhaps, like a good time to buy if you have the cash.
