I learned a few things in college that helped me during my professional career but as an instructor told us in a stats class -- if we were lucky 10% of what we learn in college will prepare us for what ever profession we ended up in while the most important things we would learn would be via OJT and less than 1% of us would end up in a career directly related to our college education -- and he was 100% spot on on all of what he said. I saw in a movie that all college is is a means to prove to a potential employer that you committed 4 years of your life to something and if you can do that then you will hopefully do the same for their company hence why I advise every young person to either go into the military or go to a trade school and not throw away time and money on a college education.

I was so glad when my son said " I don't want to go to college, I'm joining the NAVY!" Yay! You just spared us about 70 grand and a lifetime of regret!
