I've learned this in psychology before. This is indeed true. This shows the dangers when someone with authority(like a police officer) is abusing their power

That man's acting skill is genuinely legendary

A few things to note, It was done with Yale students who were more cut throat and willing to hurt others, when redone with a larger test subject base many more people stopped. One was an electrical engineer who knew the dangers of electricity, cause one of the statements the "authority " would make is that it would not cause injury, just pain.

We’re learning about this test in history class and fun fact: Stanley Milgram the creator of the test wanted to see how obedient Germans are, because of what happened in WW2. He started by testing Americans then he would test Germans to see who is more obedient. He actually never ended up doing it in Germany because the Americans were so obedient that he felt continuing was unnecessary. So please question authority the holocaust can happen anywhere.

Honestly? Kind of completely ethical, no one was harmed, and puts a spotlight on a VERY important behavior
